Sorry it has been so long. Life, school, and work have been crazy. I was sick for the last two weeks, which made everything a little more challenging. I'm still recovering from the sinus infection, but I'm doing a lot better.
Updates- We have officially booked our photographer. Laura from Studio 220 will be taking pictures for us. This is their website www.studio220weddings.com. If you click on "the talent" and then "Laura" you can see her work. We really liked this group because they are very talented and, because they all work together, they are able to give much better prices for the high quality of work they provide. We are hoping to set up some engagement pictures soon before you have to wear your winter coat to be able to be outside :)
We also have Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church in Prior Lake booked. Now we just have to meet with the wedding coordinator to figure out which pastor we will be working with and start working on the details.
Coming up- I have an appointment at The Wedding Shoppe on Grand in St. Paul. It has a huge selection of gowns and many of the designers that I have been looking at. I am hoping that I have better luck finding the style of dress I am looking for here.
We are also setting up appointments with florists. Luckily we have some connections to help with this vendor, so it was a little easier to find them. We are setting up meetings with Forget Me Not Floral Events and La Petite Fleur. Hopefully we can get the initial meetings done soon!
This weekend we are heading down to southern Minnesota to see Josh's family. I hear something about a Halloween party... should be fun!

Welcome back
It's been awhile. We have officially booked The Legends for June 30th 2012!
It feels so good to have at least something done. We also contacted Shepherd of the Lake in Prior Lake (www.sollc.org) and they have our date available. I am really torn about this location for the ceremony. On one hand it is the church that I am a member of. On the other hand, I have had a rather rocky past with this church. We stopped by on Sunday to get more information and hear the new pastors.
I have to admit, I was very skeptical. It turns out, I was pleasantly surprised. It is still in the running. The other church we were looking at (Family of Christ in Lakeville, www.familyofchrist.com) was very rude when we finally got ahold of them today. They crankily told Josh that you had to be a member there and shut him down before checking to see if he wanted to be one. I guess that answers that question. We have some thinking to do...
We had an appointment with a photographer on Monday (JS Studios, www.jensingstudios.com) and another one tomorrow (Avant Photography, www.avant-photography.com). We are hoping to make a decision on that by the end of the week so we can get engagement pictures done soon. I also had a girl in one of my classes offer to do pictures for free because she is just starting out. Lots of photography this week!
I am also hoping to do some more dress shopping soon. June 30th will be here before I know it. I feel like I need to get these major things done before I can find a dress, but I guess the reception and ceremony sites are the biggest things, I can move on to dresses now :)
I am also trying to find motivation to work out. If anyone has any ideas, let me know. I have zero right now and for some reason wedding isn't quite cutting it. Wish I had a buddy or something :/
On other news, Josh discovered that starting October 1st, he will be out of town every other weekend until Thanksgiving. One of the weekends is this coming weekend where he is going to Moorhead without me :( He gets to celebrate Cobber homecoming without me because I have to work the Tommie homecoming here. Darn this split loyalties/job thing!
That's all for now. We are hoping to have a decision made about the church and photographer by this weekend, so hopefully I will have more news soon.
262 Days :)
